Clean Lines.
Concealed Connections.
Concealed fastener roofing places clips, screws and attachment points beneath the finished panels, creating the continuous vertical lines associated with premium standing seam roofing.
Metal Maniacs fabricates multiple standing seam configurations so contractors can select the seam height and fastening method appropriate for the roof design, application and installation.
Six Profiles. Three Standing Seam Systems.
Compare the actual concealed fastener profiles fabricated by Metal Maniacs and choose the panel configuration that fits the job.
1″ Nailstrip
A low-profile standing seam panel with an integrated fastening flange that conceals attachment points after the adjacent panel is installed.
1.5″ Nailstrip
A taller nailstrip profile delivering stronger standing seam definition while retaining the straightforward integrated fastening method.
1.5″ Snap-Lock
A clip-based standing seam system that allows adjacent panels to engage without requiring mechanical field seaming.
1.75″ Snap-Lock
A taller snap-lock profile providing stronger seam definition and a clip-based concealed fastening system for premium roofing projects.
1.5″ Mechanical Seam
A mechanically closed standing seam configuration designed for applications where a more secure seam connection is required.
2″ Mechanical Seam
The tallest concealed fastener profile in the Metal Maniacs lineup, designed for commercial and demanding architectural roofing applications.
Three Ways to Build a Concealed Fastener Roof.
The difference is not simply seam height. Each system uses a different fastening and panel-connection method.
Nailstrip
The fastening flange is integrated into the panel itself. Once the adjacent panel is installed, the fasteners are hidden beneath the finished roof.
Snap-Lock
Panels attach using concealed clips while the adjoining seam snaps into place, creating standing seam architecture without mechanical field seaming.
Mechanical Seam
Panels are secured with concealed clips and the seam is mechanically closed after installation to form a highly secure panel connection.
Which Standing Seam System Fits the Job?
The appropriate system depends on the roof design, intended application, performance requirements and installation method.
| System | Available Profiles | Fastening | Seam Connection |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nailstrip | 1″ / 1.5″ | Integrated fastening strip | Panel engagement |
| Snap-Lock | 1.5″ / 1.75″ | Concealed clips | Snap-together seam |
| Mechanical Seam | 1.5″ / 2″ | Concealed clips | Mechanically closed seam |
